Matthew and Abigail were SO FUN at their engagement session, just look thru these pictures and see all the laughs and even funny moments they had. I absolutely loved it and it showed their personalities so much. This was a May engagement session at Keeneland in Lexington, KY. Their wedding is coming up at the end of the summer.
Christian and Taeyah wanted to do their engagement session in downtown Cincinnati, OH. I had never shot on the Roebling Bride before this session but it has definitely become a favorite location. I had so much fun with these beautiful beautiful and their friends who tagged along. They had an April engagement session with a 2020 wedding.
Jared and Catherine have a funny beginning to their story. Catherine stood Jared up the first time they were supposed to hang out & then they ran into each other the next day on accident. They’ve never been apart since. After their first date (or first one that she didn’t stand him up on) Catherine went home and her best friend asked her how it was and she told her she was going to marry him.
“I’m not sure what it was but there was something from the beginning that his presence put me at ease, and I felt so comfortable and at home with him to be completely who I am, and I just knew.” -Catherine
Jared proposed on December 2nd, 2018. It was the most beautiful day In December & they took Catherines dog Patrick on a walk at the Arboretum. Jared had Catherine sit on a bench & he read scripture to her about a husbands promise to his wife and then got down on one knee. Catherines ring is a simple thin gold band with one oval diamond right in the center, it’s from The Faithful Platform. These two got married in March of 2019, so that wedding will be on the blog soon. I hope you all enjoy their sweet session.

Trey and Chelsae’s April 2018 engagement session was during sunset at Talon Winery. We loved exploring to find a field and ending the session by the water. Stay tuned, I will be blogging their summer wedding in a few weeks.
This snuggly winter engagement session took place in Midway, Kentucky. We hit all of Andrew and Blaire’s favorite places that have been very special to them during their dating and proposal. I don’t normally love winter engagement sessions because it’s so cold, but these two were SO fun (just look at all the giggles) and very sweet with each other, they made it worth every trip to the car to warm back up, haha. We are taking it back to Fall 2018 when the Ginko trees on Catalpa were bloomed (for a short amount of time). I don’t always get to do sessions during this time because of how popular it is to do pictures on this famous Lexington road but I am so so happy Hunter and Danielle asked me to do their engagement pictures there last year. It may have been freezing, but I don’t think these two cared one bit. I will be posting their winter wedding so soon, until then enjoy this beautiful fall session.
In my catching up from my 2018 weddings and engagements I’m getting to some fall engagmenets and although I am in no hurry for fall to be here just yet, this sweet session reminds me why I love fall. This 2018 engagement session is one that photographer dreams are made of. We did this session at the beautiful Cherokee Park in Louisville, KY. The trees mixed with the beautiful golden sunlight made this session one for the books. Also Jonathan is one of the funniest grooms I’ve ever photographed and it made this session so fun. JD and Emma met their junior year of high school at the Governor’s Scholar Program, then they ended up going to the same college. But they didn’t start dating until their senior year at Centre College (which was the setting for this beautiful engagement session). On their one year anniversary of dating, they went to eat at Old Owl Tavern in Harrodsburg where they had their first date. After that they went to Pinot’s Palette for wine and painting with a group of friends. During a break from painting, the employees there picked Emma and JD and another couple to play Pictionary. During their turn, JD drew a couple of easy pictures and I guessed them. On the third round, he wrote “will you marry me?” and of course, she said yes!
