Andrew Jansen and Blaire Barnhart

This snuggly winter engagement session took place in Midway, Kentucky. We hit all of Andrew and Blaire’s favorite places that have been very special to them during their dating and proposal. I don’t normally love winter engagement sessions because it’s so cold, but these two were SO fun (just look at all the giggles) and very sweet with each other, they made it worth every trip to the car to warm back up, haha. I hope you all enjoy these pictures and stay on the look out for their wedding that is happening later this summer.

Hunter Trenaman and Danielle Wade

We are taking it back to Fall 2018 when the Ginko trees on Catalpa were bloomed (for a short amount of time). I don’t always get to do sessions during this time because of how popular it is to do pictures on this famous Lexington road but I am so so happy Hunter and Danielle asked me to do their engagement pictures there last year. It may have been freezing, but I don’t think these two cared one bit. I will be posting their winter wedding so soon, until then enjoy this beautiful fall session.

Justin Davis and Kimberly Krankoskie

In my catching up from my 2018 weddings and engagements I’m getting to some fall engagmenets and although I am in no hurry for fall to be here just yet, this sweet session reminds me why I love fall. These two will be getting married later this year, in the fall. I hope you all enjoy their session and the beautiful golden light in the garden.

JD Morgan and Emma Breitenbach

JD and Emma met their junior year of high school at the Governor’s Scholar Program, then they ended up going to the same college. But they didn’t start dating until their senior year at Centre College (which was the setting for this beautiful engagement session). On their one year anniversary of dating, they went to eat at Old Owl Tavern in Harrodsburg where they had their first date. After that they went to Pinot’s Palette for wine and painting with a group of friends. During a break from painting, the employees there picked Emma and JD and another couple to play Pictionary. During their turn, JD drew a couple of easy pictures and I guessed them. On the third round, he wrote “will you marry me?” and of course, she said yes! I hope you enjoy their engagement session and stay on the look out for their winter wedding blog post in a few weeks.

Justin Adeokoya and Morgan Wiseman

Justin and Morgan first met each other in their freshman communication class at EKU. Justin would ask Morgan for gum every morning and then throw the wrapper at her and act like he didn’t do it. Morgan says, “his flirting game was a little weak, but I fell for it.” They continued to be friends and would have study dates in the library that later lead to real dates. Morgan loves to tell the story of how Justin proposed. He arranged for all their friends and family to come to Georgia (where Justin is from) to his God father’s lake house. They were “supposed” to be going on a date night, but just so happened to stop by the lake house to see his God father. The boat dock was decorated and had a chair. Morgan sat in the chair and Justin got down on one knee. Morgan says she honestly doesn’t remember what Justin said because she was in another world. But she said YES and then their family and friends came out on the upper deck of the house to celebrate! Morgan had told Justin it would be so cool to have both their families and friends in the same place to celebrate our engagement, and he made it happen. I hope you all love this sweet engagement session. Their wedding will be on the blog soon.

Jonathan Saalfeld and Lindsay Brantley

This 2018 engagement session is one that photographer dreams are made of. We did this session at the beautiful Cherokee Park in Louisville, KY. The trees mixed with the beautiful golden sunlight made this session one for the books. Also Jonathan is one of the funniest grooms I’ve ever photographed and it made this session so fun. I hope you all enjoy, their wedding will be on the blog soon as they got married in April 2019.

Seth Adkins and Dana Liggett

This engagement session was such a Kentucky session, and not just because of the location. We had a little bit of rain and then a beautiful beautiful sunset. Dana and Seth are high school sweet hearts and their wedding will be on the blog soon.

Hayden Hughes and Marlee Jennings

This beautiful Spring 2018 golden hour engagement session was in the heart of downtown Lexington. I hope you all enjoy and stick around for their wedding post in a few weeks.

Lindsay O'Nan and Patrick Clifford

This engagement session was so so so much fun for me. Lindsay and Patrick are friends of mine from college (go GC Tigers). I met Lindsay my freshman year first semester and we have been close ever since. She is one of those friends that thru all of the changes in life we have been able to keep up, some seasons more than others. But no matter what we pick up right where we left off. Anyways, back to Lindsay and Patrick. Although they both went to Georgetown they didn’t know each other at the time (they knew of each other), but years after graduating they ran ran into each other one day at Keeneland and the rest was history. Their engagement session took place in two very special places for Lindsay and Patrick, their home and Keeneland. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in just a few short months.

Anytime a client asks if they can bring their dog to a session I say ABSOLUTELY. These three were so beautiful and sweet together. Enjoy these pictures and be on the lookout for their wedding blog in a few weeks.
