Jimmy and Sammy Jo were married at Grace Baptist Church with a reception at The Heartwood in Lexington, KY at the end of June 2019. This wedding was extra special for me because my daughter was one of the flower girls for this wedding (sorry for all the pictures of her cute self that I included in this). My family loves the Lacy’s so much. This big bridal party was a lot of fun. One of my favorite details from this wedding are the floral hoops that the bridesmaids had that were made by Anna Hogan with Covenant Threads.

Patrick and Lindsay got married in May 2019 at Polo Barn at Saxony. They had their rehearsal dinner at Jeff Ruby’s in downtown Lexington. This day was special for many reasons. The biggest reason is because I have been friends with the bride since my freshman year of college, she is one of my best friends so I loved being able to be apart of everything and capture it for her to remember forever. The bridal party was amazing. They were there to help the bride and groom all day with anything they needed and they were so much fun. You can see so much joy on the faces of everyone during this wedding. Some of my favorite details of this day were all the paper products (the programs) and the calligraphy, all done by Lexington Lettering. The biggest thing that set this wedding apart from all my other weddings was the reception. The couple hired the band Zack Attack and they did not disappoint. They are a 90s cover band and everyone was on their feet the whole time. If you look all the way thru you may even see some pictures of me on the dance floor.

I have been a photographer now full time for over 3 years but I have only ever shot digital (and will continue to do so), but I have always been interested in learning about film photography. I admire film photographers that I know so much and I think film photography is BEAUTIFUL. However, I knew I was going to need some major guidance. When Kelli (of Kelli Lynn Photography) posted about her Film Photography Intensive I decided this was the time to step out of my comfort zone and do something new and a bit scary. There were 6 photographers (including me) and Kelli at the intensive, and oh my word those ladies have been the most encouraging ladies ever. We spent the first few hours of the intensive talking about things involved with film photography and then we spent the second half doing some hands on film shooting. Y’all the shoot Kelli put together was STUNNING. I have listed the vendors below. These images are not perfect and I definitely have A LOT more to learn but after this class with Kelli I am going to try to learn and shoot more film in 2019, wish me luck. I hope you all enjoy this scary but oh so refreshing leap of faith I took last week.

Jonathan and Lindsey got married in April 2019 at Southeast Christian Church in their new space Chapel in the Woods in Louisville, KY and their reception was at Garden Court also in Louisville. This was my first time shooting at both places, but I do hope to shoot at them again. They are so beautiful. One of my favorite parts of the day was when we drove on the wedding party bus from the ceremony to the reception when we stopped at hoped out to take a picture at the spot where they had their first date, you can look below to see those pictures. The reception of this wedding had a live band and it was one of the most fun receptions I’ve been to. I hope you all love this wedding as much as I do.

Jared and Catherine were married on March 16, 2019 in Lexington, KY at Hope Presbyterian Church in Lexington, KY with a reception at The Barrel House At Grade Reserve. This wedding had so many sweet and special moments (as all weddings do). I loved the elegance of the long black bridesmaid dresses and the groomsmen suits and the grooms suit having black trim. But what is even more special about this wedding are the small details. Catherine’s dad passed away when she was 8 years old. Catherine wanted her wedding band to be her dads wedding band and I think it’s perfect. The words “I love you” were engraved on his band when Catherine’s parents were married. There are a few pictures of a pearl necklace. Catherine’s dad started the pearl necklace when she was born. He was going to add a new pearl to the necklace every year for her birthday. When he passed away Catherine’s uncle continued the tradition of adding the pearls and surprised Catherine with it the week of the wedding, all these years and she had no idea he was doing that. When she told me all these things I most definitely had tears in my eyes. What sweet sweet things to hold on to from her dad. The last thing that I will always remember from this wedding is the pure emotion from the groom during the ceremony. Jared and Catherine didn't do a first look so when he saw his bride walking down the aisle the water works began and they continued thru the ceremony. It was definitely sweet and felt by all. I hope you all enjoy this sweet day as much as I did.

I doubt you've ever seen a sunset like the one on May 11, 2018. This wedding is one of my all time favorites. Talon Winery was glowing the day Trey & Chelsae got married and the ceremony was filled with smiling faces. Dating all throughout college, the bride and groom dreamed of this perfect day for years.

Chelsae's glam team went above and beyond to highlight her natural beauty. Twirl Botique in Lexington provided a perfect form fitting gown that sparkled at just the right angles. Makeup was perfected by Jordyn Biery and hair was crafted by Marlee Hughes; note the sweet floral additions to Chelsea's romantic updo!

When choosing their bridal party, Chelsae and Trey decided the more the merrier! 14 bridesmaids, all dressed in pink and blush tones, stood by Chelsae as she said,"I do!!" Trey's men each had a little trinket to give Trey when they met him at the end of the aisle...that means he had 14 different items to shove in his pockets during the ceremony!

The sweetest details of the day were all the photos throughout their time dating. Through the joyful and the hard seasons, Trey & Chelsae held tight to what brought them together in the beginning. Their love for Christ and his grace on their life was evident as they stood at the alter and committed to forever!

Calling all horse fans, the Sears wedding is about to make your jaw drop!! Blake and Sarah got married May 12th at The Big Barn located in the Kentucky Horse Park. These best friends turned high school sweethearts met in Calculus and their love story is anything but boring.

Every girl dreams about getting engaged at Disney World and that’s exactly what Sarah got! In March 2017, they vacationed to Orlando, Fl. and got tickets to Disney. Sarah wanted their picture together at the castle before it got dark but Blake already had a plan. He had an employee come over to capture the moment as he handed her golden Mickey ears that said, “Will you marry me?”

Their wedding day came together flawlessly in just two short months! The sun was out and shining early on May 12th and the horses could be seen running across the fields. Kala’s Stage was hard at work glamming up the beautiful bride to be; Sarah’s updo couldn’t have been more perfect.

Navy, Coral, and gold swatches filled the barn at the Sears wedding. The tables were decorated with centerpieces from IKEA and Michaels. The sun caught the sparkle tulle and beaded bodice of Sarah’s dress which made the whole night bright. They danced the night away in the barn surrounded by their friends and families.

There is nothing that beats the winter cold like a swoon worthy summer wedding! Noah and Lindsay’s wedding day at Talon Winery brings back those warm, bright tones we have all been missing. Having known each other since they were kids, these high school sweet hearts officially tied the knot on June 3, 2018.

A cute high school crush turned into so much more for Noah when he realized, although they were young, they were in love. Lindsay agreed and realized that she couldn’t imagine a life without him. She describes Noah as caring and always putting others before himself; everyone loves a selfless man, right?

Their wedding day story begins at Noah’s sisters wedding, you heard that correctly! Noah and Sara (the sister) cooked up a plan to make sure Lindsay caught the bouquet, and when she did…Noah was there behind her on one knee. I was the photographer at Sara’s wedding also, so I got to capture this moment. After a year of planning, their wedding day was sure to be one to remember.

unnamed (1).jpg

Seeing all her hard work come to fruition, Lindsay got to marry Noah under a stunning archway looking out over the winery. The sun was shining but all eyes were on Lindsay’s sweet heart, cap sleeved wedding gown. Don’t stress the small details, Lindsay says, just enjoy the process and breathe.

Lindsay and Noah loved the moment they stood in front of God and started their lives together. Being able to celebrate with friends and family was the perfect way for them to finally become Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton.

This was my final wedding of 2018, which means I’m caught up on my 2018 weddings. Hallelujah!! JD and Emma Morgan got married 4 days shy of Christmas, and it was nothing short of magical. Emma started the day in matching flannels with her girl squad. They got ready at the reception venue, The Signature Club at Lansdowne, which provides a bridal suite for the couple and their wedding party.

The ceremony was held at Tates Creek Presbyterian Church in their beautiful sanctuary. Wreaths were hanging down behind the alter and Emma's dress, from David's Bridal, glowed the whole way down the aisle. There was not a dry eye in the house (including me, I’ve never cried so much during a ceremony) as Emma walked herself down the aisle in memory of her father who passed.

After the ceremony, the bridal party took a limo from Gold Shield Limo and headed to the reception. All the fun was caught on video by Lindsey Ritchie and coordinated by Danielle Trenaman. Emma and JD ended the night dancing with all their friends for hours on hours! I'm so thankful I got to capture this emotional, loving, and fun wedding!

Also in this last picture of me with this group of girls; they are all past Becky Willard Photography Brides. Gosh I am so thankful for these ladies and the many many other couples I have had the joy of capturing on camera.

The Adkin's wedding was decked out in douglas fir and christmas lights at The Josephina Event Venue. Dana's bouquet was filled with deep red roses and fluffed with greenery. Her dress was a stunning ivory with lace embellishments at the top, which complimented her lace and beaded headband.

The bridesmaids got ready in seasonal flannels while the groomsmen pinned on their pinecone corsages. The ceremony was held at Knoxville Baptist Church which was adorned with wreaths, garland and a massive christmas tree. The bridal squad walked down the aisle in gorgeous David's Bridal, maroon, lace top dresses.

The ceremony was held in a huge, white barn with high rafters. Lights were wrapped around the wood and stone poles and a chandelier hung in the middle of the dance floor. The Adkin's ended the night dancing while being surrounded by those they love most!
